Welcome to Wessex Primary School

Welcome to Wessex Primary School, a two-form entry primary school located just outside Maidenhead. As the Headteacher, it is my pleasure to introduce you to our vibrant and nurturing school community.

Inspiring Excellence; Everyone, Everyday

At Wessex, our mission is to inspire excellence in all that we do. We are a maintained school, proudly serving families from around the local area. Our four core values - Positivity, Honesty, Respect, and Pride - underpin everything we do, from our teaching and learning to our interactions with pupils and the wider community.

We currently have approximately 400 children on roll, with a dedicated staff team of around 40 adults. Our aim is to provide high-quality teaching opportunities that allow all pupils to thrive and make progress through a challenging and ambitious curriculum. We are an attachment-aware school, demonstrating our care and support for pupils through our daily interactions and fostering a sense of belonging.

A Specialist Provision for Hearing Impairment

One of the unique aspects of our school is our specialist resource provision for pupils with a hearing impairment. We are one of the few schools in the local area to offer this specialist support, which allows our hearing-impaired pupils to be taught by specialist staff both within their main class setting and in dedicated sessions, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to succeed.
