At Wessex, we strive to inspire a love of language learning and an awareness of other cultures based on mutual respect. We want our pupils to develop the confidence to communicate in French for practical purposes, using both written and spoken French.

Our French curriculum aims to give pupils a foundation for language learning that encourages and enables them to apply their skills to learning further languages.  We instil an understanding of French, embedding the vocabulary and provide opportunities to every child to participate and engage in the language through fun, interactive and engaging activities.
